ALLOGENEIC UC-MSC-DERIVED EXOSOMES
It is an extracted communicating vesicles derived from Umbilical Cord-Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs), which deliver to the COVID-19 patient through a nebulizer. Unlike traditional MSCs therapy, it offers an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for home and hospital-based COVID-19 treatments. This cell-free therapeutic agent reduces the cytokine storm and reverses the inhibition of host anti-viral defences associated with COVID-19, and also enhances mitochondrial function repair lung injuries.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It consists of communicating vesicles, tiny packets filled with cellular proteins and nucleic acid materials (e.g. mRNA & miRNA) released by UC-MSCs. It has powerful regenerative potential, ranging from immune-modulatory properties to anti-inflammatory properties.
Cytokine storm and increased pro-inflammatory signalling biomolecules are primarily responsible for COVID-19 pathogenesis. With it, this COVID-19 pathogenesis is reduced. At the same time, it increases the level of anti-inflammatory signalling mediators that can reduce the severity of lung injury through increased permeability and functional aspects of the alveolar epithelium. As a result, exchanging oxygen-rich air is easily facilitated and helps recover COVID-19 patients.
The ability of our product to transfer mitochondria to alveolar cells further increased their survival rate and thus, facilitated cellular regeneration and was responsible for direct inhibition of viral multiplication.
